Program Overview

To meet the demand for product design service talents during the industrial transformation of the Macau Special Administrative Region, promote the diversification of Macau's design service industry, and enhance the development of high value-added product design services, this program leverages Macau's advantageous geographical resources to foster exchange and cooperation with the mainland product design sector. Huaqiao University and the Macau Amateur Further Education Centre have jointly launched Macau's first Bachelor's Degree Program in Product Design. The program aims to fully utilize the existing professional faculty and advanced design teaching facilities of both institutions to cultivate versatile talents with proficient basic professional skills in product design, an international perspective, a sense of social responsibility, and the ability to solve complex problems using design system thinking.

Product design reflects the economic, technological, and cultural development level of a society in an era, holding significant importance. In today's market where consumer demand for personalization is surging, the severe homogenization of products makes the prospects for the product design industry highly promising. Therefore, product design is regarded as one of the most forward-looking disciplines, capable of providing solutions to life's needs and improving quality of life.

Teaching Methodology

• Format: Combines face-to-face instruction with self-study.
• Instructors: Taught by professors, associate professors, and excellent lecturers from the School of Fine Arts at Huaqiao University.
• Focus: Emphasizes not only the learning of design knowledge but also creative hands-on experience and marketing strategies.

Program Objectives

To cultivate creative talents with good creative expression skills, a systematic grasp of professional theoretical knowledge, and the ability for new product research and development.

Schedule & Logistics

• Face-to-face Sessions: Held on weekday evenings (Monday to Saturday) and on Sunday mornings/afternoons.
• Target Audience: Suitable for working professionals seeking further education.
• Registration & Venue: Both registration and classes are held at the Macau Amateur Further Education Centre.
• Application Deadline: April 13th.
