We are honored to have star instructor — singer-songwriter Long Shijie (Lung Sai Kit) as the tutor for the Pop Song Lyric Writing Course at Era Music Classroom II.
To provide guidance and training for individuals interested in learning lyric writing techniques. Through sharing experiences, analyzing works, and practical writing exercises, students will progress from a foundational understanding to efficiently mastering the steps of lyric writing, gradually building confidence and a personal style.
Long Shijie (Lung Sai Kit) – A Macau local singer-songwriter who has been active in the local original music scene for many years. He writes lyrics for all his own songs and has also penned lyrics for numerous Macau and Hong Kong singers, winning several awards. Notable works include:
In recent years, he signed with a Hong Kong record company to continue developing his music as a singer-songwriter. His first released single was a collaboration with renowned Hong Kong musician Anthony Lun, co-writing the lead track 'Sense of Existence,' affirming his creative abilities.
Furthermore, in Macau, he has participated in lyric writing for many government official events. Since 2011, he has written lyrics and performed for the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau's New Year Countdown Gala theme song for four consecutive years. To promote popular music, he has recently focused on actively participating in lyric teaching. Besides private tutoring, he also serves as a lyric writing instructor for the 'Love Dream Love Music' course organized by the Dream Project Association, teaching lyric writing techniques to secondary school students interested in pursuing a career in music. Between 2013 and 2014, two original song albums created by the participating students were released, with the hope of training more talents to promote Macau's cultural and creative industries.
