Course Overview

To promote career planning and encourage young people to learn through exploration, discover their inner potential, and explore their life development direction, the Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ) under the Outer Harbour Youth Activity Centre will organize the "Discover Potential, Explore Life" series of Personal Image Workshops from March to April 2014. The series includes "Skincare and Makeup Class" and "Hairstyling Design Class."

Course Content

• Skincare and Makeup Class: Learn foundational skincare and makeup knowledge and techniques, with demonstrations of various party makeup looks.
• Hairstyling Design Class: Learn foundational hairstyling design knowledge and techniques, with demonstrations of various party hairstyles.
• The instructor will share their experiences working as a makeup artist and hairstylist, helping participants understand the challenges and rewards of the exploration process, establish a correct learning attitude, and gain insights for their career orientation.

Workshop Details

• Target Audience: Macau youth aged 16 to 29.
• Class Size: 12 students per class.
• Tuition Fee: Free of charge.
• Materials: Students are required to bring their own tools and materials as instructed by the teacher. Alternatively, they can choose to register to purchase them from the teacher during enrollment.
• Venue: Outer Harbour Youth Activity Centre.

Skincare and Makeup Class Schedule

• Dates: March 4 to April 22, 2014 (Every Tuesday).
• Time: 7:00 PM – 9:30 PM.

Hairstyling Design Class Schedule

• Dates: March 6 to April 24, 2014 (Every Thursday).
• Time: 7:00 PM – 9:30 PM.

Enrollment Procedure (Lottery System)

The workshops adopt a "Register first, then lottery, then enroll" admission process. Workshops with more registrants than available spots will conduct a lottery draw. Only those selected in the draw can proceed with formal enrollment.

• Registration Period: From now until February 9, 2014.
• Registration Methods:
  • Online registration via the DSEDJ website "Activity News" section.
  • In-person registration at the Outer Harbour Youth Activity Centre or Lifelong Learning Service Station.
• Lottery Draw: February 10, 2014.
• Result Notification: Lottery results will be posted at the Outer Harbour Youth Activity Centre on the same day, notified via SMS to selected individuals, and published on the Centre's website.
• Formal Enrollment for Selected Candidates:
  • Period: February 10 to February 16, 2014.
  • Locations:
    • Outer Harbour Youth Activity Centre (2nd Block, Macao Forum, Avenida de Marciano Baptista, NAPE, Macau).
    • Lifelong Learning Service Station (12B Rua do Campo, Macau).
• Waitlist Procedure: If an enrolled candidate withdraws, a waitlisted candidate will take their place. Waitlisted candidates will be notified by phone by the organizer and can enroll from February 17 to February 20, 2014.
