Workshop Introduction

To safeguard the well-being of those we care about, it is essential to understand Macau's inheritance legal system and make proper arrangements. The legal provisions concerning inheritance are primarily found in the Macau Civil Code, Macau Civil Procedure Code, and other relevant regulations. This workshop aims to provide participants with a foundational understanding and knowledge of the inheritance legal system through learning these basic legal concepts.

Workshop Outline

• Analysis of statutory succession, forced heirship, and testamentary succession types.
• Explanation of methods and pathways for estate inheritance.
• Introduction to the main differences in inheritance regulations between Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau.
