Course Overview
Pop culture is constantly evolving. For successful creators, besides solid foundational skills, insights into market changes and continuous innovation are key to success. Have you noticed the continued downturn in the Hong Kong and Taiwan pop music market, while independent musicians and bands are rising? Why are hip-hop songs and TikTok music becoming more popular? Their lyric writing techniques differ significantly from traditional pop songs—what special skills might you not know? Additionally, we will discuss award-winning songs from the Golden Melody Awards, the most prestigious and influential music awards in the Chinese-speaking world, from the 1990s to the present, analyzing their creative approaches. All these knowledge and techniques will be thoroughly explained and analyzed by experienced composer and lyricist Lee Chun Yat.

- Fee: MOP$8,000
- Certificate: Certificate issued upon achieving 70% attendance, with a 50% tuition subsidy.
- Note: This course is not part of the Continuing Education Development Plan. Non-Macau residents must pay the full tuition fee without subsidy.
Instructor
Lee Chun Yat – Renowned composer and lyricist in Hong Kong and Macau, music theory instructor at Macau Conservatory Music School, and composition and lyric writing instructor at Hong Kong Bole Music School.
