Course Overview

This is a future-oriented exploration and creation project. The summer camp gathers design students from cities in the Greater Bay Area to step into an international design perspective. Through a two-week design workshop, participants will collectively explore the theme 'Love Zhuhai' to discover interesting and unique content. Centered around this theme, students will create new works across six design disciplines: Visual Design, Brand Design, Multimedia Design, Fashion Design, Product Design, and Photography.

Course Content

Participants are divided into six groups according to the design disciplines: Visual Identity, Brand Design, Multimedia Production, Fashion Design, Photography, and Product Design. Each group will engage in discussions and creation of theme-related works under the on-site instruction and guidance of mentors.

Target Participants

Design students currently enrolled in college or above from Zhuhai, Macau, and other Greater Bay Area cities. Each design group has a maximum of 20 students. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Groups with fewer than 15 participants may be cancelled.

Schedule & Venue

• Dates: August 3 to 16, 2020
• Daily Hours: 10:00–13:00, 15:00–18:00
• Venue: Zhuhai-Macau Design Center, Floors 12-13, Zhuhai Center Building Note: The actual schedule is subject to the final arrangement by the respective subject instructors.

Participation Fee

• Fee: RMB 2,000
• Transportation, meals, and accommodation during the course are the responsibility of the participants. Students may choose to stay at hotels recommended by the organizer at their own expense. Note: The registration fee will be refunded if the course is cancelled due to the pandemic or force majeure.

Registration Method

1. Scan the QR code (in the original source) to enter the mini-program, complete the registration form, and upload valid student proof.
2. Macau students requiring assistance can visit the Macau Design Centre in person from Monday to Friday, 9:30–18:30.

Certification & Opportunities

Students who successfully complete the entire summer camp program and pass the assessment will receive a course certificate. Their works will be exhibited in the project results exhibition at the end of the year. Selected outstanding works will have the opportunity to be developed and produced in collaboration with enterprises in Zhuhai City.
