Course Overview
To encourage creativity in children and youth, promote the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education philosophy, and cultivate the ability to integrate and apply knowledge in technology and mathematics, the Macao Science Center will run the "LEGO® Education Interactive Classroom" during the summer holidays from July 3 to August 31. Children will learn diverse scientific knowledge and enjoy the fun of hands-on LEGO brick building, assembly, and robot programming.
Course Offerings (All courses are taught in Cantonese)
- LEGO Education Little Scientist (LEGO® Education DUPLO®)
- Suitable for children aged 3-5. Must be accompanied by one parent.
- LEGO City Animator (LEGO® Education Story Starter)
- Suitable for children aged 6. Must be accompanied by one parent.
- LEGO Education Creative Scientist (LEGO® Education Simple Machines)
- LEGO Education Engineering & Robotics Classroom (LEGO® Education WeDo2.0)
- Suitable for children aged 7-9.
- LEGO Education Engineering & Robotics Classroom (LEGO® Education MINDSTORMS® EV3)
- Suitable for children and youth aged 10 or above.
Key Information
- Total Classes: 154 classes
- Total Places: Over 1,200 places
- Eligibility: Children and youth holding a Macao Resident Identity Card.
- Course Fee: MOP 200 per class.
- Registration Period: May 29 (Monday) 10:00 AM to June 1 (Thursday) 5:00 PM.
- Enrollment: First-come, first-served. Registration closes when places are filled.
Registration & Payment
- How to Register: Visit the Macao Science Center website or register via the WeChat subscription account "澳門科學館MSC". Select the appropriate course based on the participant's age and complete the corresponding online form with the participant's name and the last four digits of their Macao ID number.
- Tutorial: A registration tutorial will be available on the website.
- Announcement of Results: The list of successful applicants will be available on the Center's website, Facebook page, and WeChat subscription account from June 2.
- Payment: All successful applicants must pay the course fee in person at the Center's ticket office from June 3 to 7.
Additional Summer Activities
- Experience Class: Children visiting the Center during the summer can register on-site for the "LEGO® Education Interactive Classroom" experience class.
- Fee: MOP 50 per session.
- Places: Over 2,000 places available for public registration.
- Free Introductory Class: Visitors who purchase a LEGO® Education Learn to Learn set at the Center's gift shop can participate in one "LEGO Education Introductory Class" for free.
