Course Introduction
The term "私寫真" (personal photography) was coined by the renowned Japanese photographer Nobuyoshi Araki, inspired by the 20th-century Japanese literary genre "I-Novel" (私小說). Araki's first "私寫真" work was "Sentimental Journey," documenting his honeymoon trip with his wife, Yoko. "私寫真" refers to private documentary photography, with family photos being its most important component.
Nowadays, most family photos are taken with mobile phones. The iPhone (and certain other smartphones) offers exceptional optical image stabilization and high-definition video recording capabilities. Therefore, this center has specially designed this course to help participants more effectively utilize the various advantages of the iPhone to capture portrait photos and short films for family and friends.
(Note: Participants using other smartphones are also welcome to enroll, but the classes will use the iPhone and iPhone apps for demonstration.)
