Course Overview
This is the first phase ('Qi') of the 2019/20 Chinese Classical Dance course series, "Han-Tang Elegance." The program is designed to systematically teach the unique style, aesthetics, and cultural essence of Han and Tang dynasty classical dance.
Course Structure & Levels
The complete course is divided into an introductory class and six progressive phases:
- Introductory (入門)
- Phase 1: Qi (起)
- Phase 2: Cheng (承)
- Phase 3: Nian (念)
- Phase 4: He (合)
- Phase 5: Xiu (秀)
- Phase 6: Rong (融)
Course Details (Phase 1)
- Duration: 20 hours total (10 sessions)
- Schedule: Every Thursday, 19:30–21:30
- Course Dates: October 3, 2019 – December 5, 2019
- Tuition Fee: MOP $1,900
- Target Participants: Individuals aged 18 and above with a foundation in Chinese dance.
- Venue: Unit A, 10th Floor, Manufacturers' Association Building, No. 32 Rua do Almirante Costa Cabral, Nam Van (Chengya Art Education Centre).

Teaching Methodology
The training combines dance technique with cultural education. Students will learn through:
- Unique postures, movements, transitions, and breath control.
- Stylistic vocabulary, short phrases, combinations, and complete dance pieces.
This approach helps students master the style, balance, and aesthetic taste of Han-Tang classical dance, experiencing its unique charm at different learning stages.
