Course Overview

This foundational training class focuses on the basic techniques of the Drunken Dragon Dance. It covers the historical origins, development, and cultural heritage of the dance. Participants will learn the movement skills for the dragon's head and tail, along with various hand techniques, stances, body postures, and footwork.

Mastering these basic movements can lead to a recommendation to the Fresh Fish Traders Association for further study. There, learners can practice the coordination, forms, and synchronized movements of various Drunken Dragon Dance postures. The dance aims to create the illusion of a dragon appearing amidst clouds and mist, with swirling "wine flowers" adding to the朦胧 beauty. It highlights the natural elegance of the Drunken Dragon Dance, featuring潇洒,飘逸 drunken steps and postures that are "seemingly drunk but not," striving for a state of unity between the dancer and the dragon.

• Duration: 12 hours (8 sessions)
• Schedule: July 20 to August 13, 2015 (Every Monday & Thursday), 19:00–20:30
• Application Deadline: July 18, 2015
• Fee: MOP 500 (Included in the Continuing Education Development Plan)
• Target Participants: Male youths and middle-aged adults, aged 18 to 55, in good health.
• Certificate: An attendance certificate issued by the organizer will be awarded for an attendance rate of 70% or higher.
• Progression: Participants who demonstrate mature skills may be approved to join as Drunken Dragon Dance athletes.
