Workshop Overview

Senior theatre director Lee Kwok Wai is the lead instructor for this "Director Practical Enhancement Workshop." While Macau offers numerous drama workshops, the vast majority focus on acting, with very few dedicated specifically to directing. This workshop is unique in that its primary participants are directors, but each director can bring two actors to assist with practical demonstrations during class. These actors can attend the sessions for free. Therefore, the total workshop participation is 8 directors plus 16 actors, for a total of 24 participants.

Workshop Content

• Analysis and discussion of participants' past directorial work through video playback.
• Practical exercises and demonstrations to enhance directorial skills.
• Focus on the specific challenges and techniques of stage direction.
• Collaborative learning environment with feedback from the instructor and peers.
