Course Introduction
Scratch Children's Programming
Children can learn programming, mathematics, and computational knowledge through Scratch, while also improving their ability to solve problems independently. The goal is to stimulate children's creativity and imagination through coding.
Makey Makey Creative Interaction
Using the Makey Makey board as a bridge between the computer and conductive objects, the electrical signals from the conductors are converted by Makey Makey into computer keyboard (or mouse) commands, which are then sent back to the computer to form control instructions.
Python Programming & Web Scraping Introduction
First, learn the basics of Python, the most popular programming language. Then, progress to learning how to use the commonly used Requests library to automatically scrape needed data from websites.
Registration Notes
- If duplicate registrations are found for the same course, the first registration will be considered valid.
- Selection Method: A lottery system will be used for registration. The list of successful applicants will be announced on the Macao Science Center website at 15:00 on October 20.
- Successful applicants must pay the relevant fees by October 25 via bank transfer (account details will be sent via SMS to parents of successful applicants). After payment, please email the electronic receipt along with the information (activity name, parent's name, and contact mobile number) to [email protected] for confirmation by 23:59 on October 25.
- Failure to pay on time or providing incomplete confirmation details will be considered as a forfeit, and the spot will be given to a waitlisted applicant.
- The waitlist will be announced on the Macao Science Center website at 15:00 on October 26.
- Waitlisted applicants who are selected must pay the relevant fees by October 30. The payment details and notification method are the same as above, and the electronic receipt must be emailed for confirmation by 23:59 on October 30.
