Course Overview
Discover the profound beauty of Chinese characters from a design aesthetics perspective! This course is led by Chinese calligraphy artist and graphic designer Chan Sing Yu (陳星宇). Through the lens of design theory, using the "Ten Principles of Aesthetics" as a starting point, you will systematically master the fundamentals of "soft brush writing" (modern brush pen calligraphy). This approach allows for a more structured learning of Chinese character aesthetics, with practical applications in daily life after the course.
Course Philosophy
In the past, when people picked up a pen to write, time seemed to slow down, allowing rich and profound emotions to flow between the pen tip and paper. With technological advancement, daily opportunities for handwriting have diminished. However, simply by being willing to pick up a pen again, you can rediscover the comfort and tranquility that handwriting brings.
