Course Introduction
Adobe Lightroom Classic CC is a comprehensive software that combines image catalog management, RAW file conversion, and light photo editing. It is distinct from Adobe Photoshop CC, which is primarily a professional photo editing tool. While Photoshop with the 'Adobe Camera Raw' plugin can also handle RAW files, it lacks the powerful catalog management features of Lightroom. 'Classic CC' is the latest version of Lightroom.
Lightroom is the mainstream image catalog management software for most professional and amateur photographers (another option is Adobe Bridge). Its catalog management is exceptionally powerful, especially for batch RAW file conversion. Mastering its workflow can save users a significant amount of processing time.
However, Lightroom is relatively difficult to learn on your own. Most beginners find it challenging or perceive it as slow, often due to a lack of understanding of its structure and settings. This course is specifically designed for beginners to overcome these hurdles.
Equipment: The center uses Mac computer systems.

Course Details
- Class Size: 15 students
- Duration: 18 hours (6 sessions)
- Schedule: Saturdays, 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Dates: July 7, 2018 – August 11, 2018
- Fee: MOP 2,400
- Certificate & Subsidy: A certificate and a 50% tuition subsidy are granted for an attendance rate of 70% or higher.
- Non-Residents: Non-Macao residents must pay the full tuition fee and are not eligible for the subsidy.
Important Notes
- This course is NOT part of the Continuing Education Development Plan (DSEDJ).
- Instruction is in Cantonese. The software interface is in English, so students must possess basic English reading skills and computer literacy.
