Compared to realism, abstract painting is a form of creation based on intuition and imagination. It is as splendid and ever-changing as music, serving as a medium of color that expresses the creator's emotions. Color plays an extremely important role in abstract art, and the viscous nature of oil paints makes them particularly suitable for abstract painting. Therefore, the key to abstract oil painting lies in mastering and applying color tones. This course will focus on introducing the characteristics and techniques of abstract painting, as well as the use of painting knives in abstract art, allowing students to understand how pigments work on the canvas for more fluid creative expression.
Students are required to bring their own oil painting supplies. The list includes:
Note: Existing oil painting students may use their own tools. New students who need painting tools can purchase a full set (approximately MOP 880) through the instructor.
